Our Partners

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

We sent out an email to 100 worship leaders last night asking them to partner with us in bringing God’s Kingdom to this earth.  The best part is that the 100 that were chosen from the “sign-ups” are already actively impacting and changing their world by doing what God’s designed them to do.  And now we’re linking arms with them to make an even greater impact on a global level.  The Church being the Church.  Coming together for Kingdom purposes. Cause the Church is unstoppable when we are all about the things that Jesus is about.

Oh, and our 100 new worship leaders friends also got a pre-release of the new album, accompanied by loops and charts for the songs. Here’s hoping they connect with and enjoy it!

If you haven’t heard what we’re doing with 100% of the proceeds from the album release sales on September 7, go here and check “The Cause.”

To our new friends and partners in seeing this happen, thanks for joining us!  We’re honored!  Let’s make a difference!

Unity – We’re In This Together

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Coming out of our Unstoppable series, I was reminded over and over again about the importance of uniting with other ministries, churches, and people. That has been the theme over this past month for our church as we’ve brought in pastor’s from local churches across Charlotte. And to be honest, asking other local pastors to come in and preach to our house was kind of like putting our money where our mouth is when it comes to what we stand and believe about unity in God’s Church. And we couldn’t be more excited about the impact that it’s had on Elevation.

It’s actually been really challenging for me as a worship leader. Since we’ve been a part of Elevation, we’ve always tried to connect with other musicians and worship pastors around the city – we’ve always wanted to build those relationships from the start. But it is so easy to get busy doing our week to week items, and when time is not our friend, relationships can fall to the side.

This past month has been extremely convicting – seeing firsthand the importance of working together, investing in one another. We want to see a radical change in the city of Charlotte. The entire city! We want to see things happen here that have never happened before – and we cannot do it alone. We need each other. We need to empower each other, bless each other, pray for each other.

What are ways in your city or your ministry, that you can invest in someone else? What are the ways you can empower another ministry in your area, without receiving anything in return – other than the impact that’s felt by jointly investing in a city that needs Jesus?

Seriously. Think about practical ways you can honor another ministry in your surrounding area this week. Find a way to bless another worship leader at the church just down the road from your own.

I was so proud to be a part of our church during this series, and I hope this is just the beginning of uniting with one another for the city of Charlotte.

One Prayer – KC Clark

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Wrapping up this week’s posts with my man, KC who leads worship at Team Church . KC and his wife, Julie, have both led worship for years, along with traveling as singer/songwriters. They’ve spent the last few years creating a solid culture of worship at Team Church. And bonus: they’re great songwriters. Matter of fact, they’re in the studio right now with our friends at Bright City working on their next project.

KC was one of the first of worship leaders that reached out to us when we first moved up here to join Elevation. And the thing I probably appreciate most about him is his heart to stay connected with other worship leaders and what’s happening everywhere in the local church. Worship leaders, take a lesson from KC and partner up with other worship leaders in your city. Lay down any ‘territorialism’ you may have and support one another. We’re called to. Don’t miss the chance to.

You should follow KC on twitter here.

And read his blog here.

One Prayer – Nate Davis

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

We would like to introduce you all to another fellow worship leader in this city… Nate Davis. He is the Creative Arts Pastor at Mosaic Church here in Charlotte. Along with being a talented and passionate worship leader and songwriter, Nate is married to a beautiful lady named Carrie, and father to two great kids… soon to be three!

For me in particular, Nate and I went to the same high school, so I have known him since I was a wee little girl of 13 years old. He was like an older brother to me, and I’ve gotten to watch him grow into an amazing man of God. I’m so proud him!

Stop by Nate’s blog or follow him on Twitter to check out what’s happening in his life and his ministry. He has such a great passion and heart for worship, and we are so blessed to share the city with leaders like him!

Nate, we love you… we are standing with you!
