Auditions

Please read the information below carefully before signing up to audition

  • We are auditioning INSTRUMENTALISTS on FEBRUARY 28 and VOCALISTS on FEBRUARY 29
  • Everyone who auditions will be considered for both the main stage and our eKidz ministry. However, you must be 17 years old to try out for our main stage at Elevation.  So, if you’re under 17 years old, you will be auditioning for a spot in eKidz only.
  • We ask that you select only one instrument. However, if you are auditioning for an instrument, you may also try out for vocals.  Please note that if you want to do both, you will need to be here both audition days.
  • For those who are interested in auditioning with an acoustic guitar, we don’t have a need for acoustic players at this time.
  • If you are auditioning for vocals, you will be singing a cappella.
  • You will audition in the order in which you sign in once arriving at the Matthews Campus. Please make sure you sign in immediately upon arrival.
  • Everyone will be emailed back within 3 weeks after the audition letting you know if you’ve been asked to join the worship team or not. Also, we may ask to see you again for a call back at a later date.

What To Prepare:

Bass (February 28):

  • Bring your bass guitar only, no amp required
  • Play groove with click track at 120 bpm (provided), and play a song of choice

Drums (February 28):

  • Bring sticks only
  • Play groove with click track at 120 bpm (provided)

Electric Guitar (February 28):

  • Bring your own guitar, amp, and pedal board
  • Play one song that’s in the style of what we play at Elevation (choose a song that has been performed by the Elevation Worship team)
  • Play one song of your choice

Keys (February 28):

  • No gear required, just show up, we’ll provide the keyboard
  • Play one worship song in the style of what we play at Elevation
  • Play one song of your choice

Vocals (February 29):

  • Sing 1 stanza of Amazing Grace a cappella.
  • Sing 1 verse and 1 chorus of a song of your choice a cappella
